Obituary for Nancy Johns Wallace

Nancy Johns  Wallace
Nancy Wallace, 62, of Lake Marion, passed away peacefully in her home September 11, 2012, surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Spartanburg, SC, she was daughter of the late Jonas Rowe and Doris Greer and wife to John Wallace. After marrying John, they moved to North Charleston where she raised her family, volunteered with the parks and recreations, was a caregiver to many. She was a kind natured lady with a heart for giving. Nancy enjoyed decorating her house with her family during the holidays for others to enjoy. Mrs. Wallace was a former member Cooper River Baptist Church and was a current member of First Baptist Church of Eutawville.
She is survived by her husband of forty five years, John Wallace, son, Wally Wallace and wife Donna of Hanahan, daughter, Jackie Wallace of Hanahan, four grandchildren, Paige Johnna, Brittany and Megan, brother, Donald Greer of Woodruff, SC, two sisters, Rebecca Ackert of Cassett, SC and Reene Law of Easley, SC. Mrs. Wallace is also survived by many extended family and friends.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. in MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL, 869 St. James Avenue. Burial will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 14, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel.
The family would like to thank Agape Hospice and the staff at Charleston Hematology Oncology Associates for the loving care and support during Nancy’s battle with cancer.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
