Flag Retirement Program
McAlister-Smith will be collecting retired flags to honor deceased veterans.
The Stars and Stripes are a symbol of our freedom and a reminder of the sweat, blood and tears that it took to build this country.
Just like us all, the flag has a life-span and every flag should be decommissioned honorably.
McAlister-Smith is now accepting American flags which are no longer suitable for display. These flags will honor a fallen veteran by being draped across their coffin at the time of cremation.
Flag donations may be dropped off at the McAlister-Smith Chapels in West Ashley, Goose Creek, and Mt. Pleasant.
